Brief Intro to Fairmount Pet Service

My name is Jim Kernicky I have been living in Philadelphia since March 2003, in the Fairmount area since 2007. I am originally from Delaware County, but I also lived in University City when I started at Drexel University in 1985. I started Fairmount Pet Service in the summer of 2008.

I offer standard rates, have a dog walker \ pet sitter bond and insurance, and have my American Red Cross Pet CPR and First Aid certification. Although my main pet service is dog walking, I also offer pet sitting & boarding services, as well as professional pet portraits (FREE for clients!)

I am available 7:30 am to 8:30 pm (except 4:00-7:00 pm), 7 days a week, 365 days a year. I am a trustworthy and dependable pet sitter, as well as a cat and dog owner and animal lover. I offer personalized dog walking \ pet sitting in accordance with your pets needs and any requests that you may have, so that your pets are as comfortable as possible, and to give them companionship and social time. That can include anything from cleaning up a "mess", to exercise through jogging with your dog while on a walk, to giving medication, or even watering indoor plants, mail/newspaper retrieval, security checks of windows and doors, and turning on/off lights, radio or TV so as to appear your place is occupied. I also offer professional-quality pet portraits - FREE for clients!

Dog Walking & Pet Sitting Services & Service Area:

I offer dog walking and pet sitting throughout the day while you are at work, as well as pet sitting while you are away on vacation or business trips. In addition to dogs and cats, I can also pet sit for many other domesticated animals (to date I have also watched rabbits, lizards ferrets & tropical fish). I also can board your cat or dog at my place. And I'll take care of any special instructions that you have when it comes to taking care of your pets. You won't find more affordable services, and I do not charge for consultations or have hidden fees. My area of service for dog walking are:

19130: Parrish Street to the north, Pennsylvania Avenue and Spring Garden Street to the south, and 28th Street to the west. To the east it is Corinthian Avenue north of Fairmount Avenue and to 19th Street below Fairmount Avenue

My area of service for Pet Sitting is the same but also extends further south: from 18th Street to 23rd down to Arch Street.

Note: I do not service high-rise apartment buildings, with the exception of 2200 Arch.
