I took my Cat & Dog CPR and First Aid class on April 27th 2009. If someone was watching my pets, I would like to know that any emergencies would be handled properly, and I feel an obligation to offer the same security to my clients. I also carry my Pet First Aid kit with me while on a walk with my dogs.

If you are interested in taking the combined Cat & Dog CPR and First Aid class, contact the American Red Cross. There is a chapter in Philadelphia at 23rd & Chestnut, and their next classes are 4/26/2010, & 6/07/2010. The cost is $79 and the class last approximately 3 hours.

I am also a member of the National Association of Professional Pet Sitters (NAPPS) and will be taking their Pet First Aid course as well in 2010.
